STRUT is a team of teachers, SEL Social and Emotional Learning (SEL): building blocks dedicated toward teaching and developing an individual’s EQ/ SEL through learning that increases social awareness, critical reasoning, and emotional knowledge. specialists, researchers, technologists, and entrepreneurs passionate about achieving social and educational equity by making learning easier, faster, and healthier. We create adaptive EQ Emotional Intelligence (EQ): critical social and emotional skills that allow an individual to be socially aware, emotionally knowledgeable, decisive, and successful in life. technologies that improve grades and relationships, which increases overall classroom efficiency.

With EQ/ SEL, now one of the top 10 most critical skills for success, the World Economic Forum states that 50% of the world needs to learn EQ/ SEL-related skills by 2025 to survive in future social and professional environments.

To rise to this challenge, we created the first set of technologies that puts the “person” in “personalized learning” by incorporating extensive EQ/ SEL-based research to meet any individual’s motivations, emotions, EQ, and learning preferences within our EQ/ SEL curricula. As a veteran school leader, I have spent my years doing research in this area, and always see how interest in fad programs fade, but the need for SEL remains. Our students experience myriad trauma, and STRUT is building something that relates to their lives and content material so it’s tied to what they are already doing in school. I’m excited to see what they develop.
